We are looking to recruit a Cleaning Operative to provide cleaning services as part of the of the cleaning team at one of our prestigious client sites in Commercial Street area of Birmingham. You will provide a range of cleaning services conforming to established process and standards of excellence.

Main Duties

♠  Ensure all cleaning is carried out under specific instructions, systems of work and in line with industry standard and agreed specification.

♠  Accountability for quality of work and tasks within own remit.

♠  Ensure all problems or queries are deal with in a timely manner.

♠  Provide assistance where appropriate in line with the service level agreement and assigned instructions.

♠  Any other duties which may be required within the cleaning scope

♠  Perform other duties as assigned by the cleaning supervisor


This is a part time, temporary position until 23rd May 2023 Monday to Friday 17:00 to 20:00 (15 hours a week)

Job No 2 | Cleaning Operative - Cramond Primary School | £21,133 - £21,434 per year


MJS is looking for a Cleaning Operative to work in Cramond Primary School, Edinburgh. The position comes with a salary of £20k pro rata and many attractive benefits.

You will be working 9 hours per week over 40 weeks.


Duties for this position include:

Cleaning and disinfecting all surfaces, internal glass, floors, furniture, fixtures and fittings

Cleaning all sanitary areas, toilets and showers and replenishing washroom consumables

Emergency and re-active cleaning as required, e.g., removal of graffiti, body fluid spillages, accidental spillages.

We are looking for people who have good time management skills, can follow instructions, can work alone and as part of a team. Previous experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.


In return for your dedication and commitment, you will receive a salary of £20,000 pro rata.

Job No 3 ( Cleaning Supervisor )


We have an opportunity available for a Cleaning Supervisor to join our team based in Northwich. The role is offered on a part-time, permanent basis, working 22.5 hours per week, term time only. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £21,273 per annum pro-rata (£11,095 per annum actual).


About the role:

As our Cleaning Supervisor, you will oversee the cleaning provision at the College. To maintain high standards of cleanliness; ensuring that the College environment is a pleasant one to work and study and the safety and wellbeing of students and collegues.


The hours of work are 22.5 hours per week term time only. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hours of work are normally 6.30 am to 8.30 am and 4.00 pm to 6.30 pm Monday to Thursday and 6.30 am to 8.30 am and 4.00 pm to 6.00 pm on Friday to cover the key cleaning periods. However, hours may vary from time to time to meet the requirements of the job.


In addition, there is the opportunity for the successful candidate to also take additional hours as a Cleaner. The hours of work for this role are 10 hours per week (2.00 pm to 4.00 pm) all year round with an actual salary of £5412.16 per annum.


Your responsibilities as our Cleaning Supervisor will include:

♠  Supervising the cleaning team, to include day to day liaison and monitoring cleaning activities

♠  Ensuring high standards of cleanliness across the whole site

♠  Working with the site supervisor to ensure absences are covered

♠  Working with the estates team to order materials as and when required

♠  Working in line with COSHH and risk assessments

♠  Maintaining the cleanliness and safety of site buildings and outdoor areas, in particular the toilets, college hall, entrance areas and corridors

♠  Reporting to the Site Supervisor any hazardous situation which cannot be safely rectified or instances of damage or misuse of premises or equipment

♠  Assisting in directing site users and/or the emergency services in the event of an emergency

♠ Complying with all appropriate safe systems of work, using equipment, materials, substances and personal protective equipment as instructed/trained

♠  Promoting British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect for and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs for those without faith

♠  Acting in accordance with and promote the Staff Code of Conduct and Safeguarding and Prevent policies

♠  Such other duties as may be reasonably required by College Management during working hours, within the competence of the post-holder and appropriate to the levels of responsibility of the post
