Absolute Taste is looking for an experienced Logistics & Maintenance Manager to join our fabulous team at Woods’ Silver Fleet; a selection of luxury hand-crafted river yachts & cruisers on the Thames.

Woods' Silver Fleet has been established for over 70 years and are renowned for their attention to design and service detail within their family business. Their new home, Woods Quay opened in 2021 on the River Thames in Westminster which included an Electrolux Grand Cuisine tasting kitchen. Clients include Dom Perignon, Google, TikTok, Jaguar and Bulgari.

The Logistics & Maintenance Manager will provide overall Pier management services supporting the fleet including the Silver Sturgeon and the Silver Barracuda as well as their new designer pier Woods Quay, development kitchen, and event space, on the River Thames. This extraordinary space provides an iconic home to the fleet in the heart of central London and the successful applicant will be part of the next chapter of Woods’ Silver Fleet’s history.


Job Responsibilities:

To be responsible for the overall Woods Quay site in terms of cleanliness, health and safety, security, and minor maintenance issues.

To have full knowledge and control of the annual maintenance schedule reporting into the Chief Engineer and General Manager.

To become a specialist in the venue in terms of all its systems in order to assist the Chief Engineer.

Carry out new starter inductions in terms of all procedures related to Woods Quay, opening and closing procedures and health and safety.

Ensuring that the necessary equipment for FOH is on board the relevant vessels in conjunction with the Ops team and that equipment is moved after each event to the barge/storage areas to ensure smooth running of the events.

To manage the kitchen porter agency staff whilst on site in conjunction with the head chef.

To control and train team members on all waste and recycling disposal.

General basic pier maintenance, cleanliness and jet washing of Woods Quay weekly, plus for ad-hoc events and show-rounds where additional demand exists.

Developing and managing the system of receiving of contractors on site ensuring they are aware of health and safety guidelines liaising with the Marine Director, Chief Engineer, General Manager & Ops Manager.

General event assistance to include assisting the Bar Managers with stocking bar fridges and completing stock-in sheets for the Operations Team, supervising event de-rigs with event suppliers across the quay and fleet ensuring damage is reported and dealt with and assisting the FOH team with event set ups periodically.

Managing all goods in and goods out; receiving and checking FOH and BOH deliveries on site and ensuring the relevant departments are notified.

Ensuring storage areas are organised, tidy on all boats and on piers, at all times.

Assist with ensuring that all vessels are ‘show round ready’ at all times.

Seasonal and other stock item maintenance and recording - for example, crackers, Christmas decorations, stationary, river maps, etc.

Assistance with monthly beverage, dispo and cleaning material stock takes where necessary.

This London-based brand is going from strength to strength, showing at New York fashion week and stocked globally within some of the world's most luxurious retailers.


You will report directly into their CEO and your responsibilities will include:

Managing wholesale accounts

Ensuring stock is processed and allocated to the correct channels

Trading and reporting across the business

Liaising with suppliers and updating the team with any queries and updates on deliveries

Updating purchase orders


The successful candidate will have advanced level Excel skills and will have prior experience in logistics and/or merchandising.
