Client Corporation is currently seeking applications for an experienced Project Manager interested in managing technical and administrative services support for the United States Marine Corps Future Systems and other future and fielded Air Traffic Control and Landing Systems (ATC&LS). The work is being performed at the Naval Air Warfare Center (NAWC) Webster Outlying Field (WOLF) located in St. Inigoes, MD.


Essential Job Functions: :

Serves as the project manager/team leader for the support of tasking involving systems integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management to military weapon systems, associated support systems, or management informational systems.

Required Skills: :

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physical Science, Business or Management discipline, Economics, Finance, or Accounting plus 14 years of experience or a master’s degree plus 10 years of experience is required. Education qualification substitution: Bachelor's Degree plus 4 years additional work experience may be substituted for a master’s degree.

Desired Skills: :

Minimum of 5 years of experience with the Navy or other DoD activities related to ATC&LS.

General Description:

Navy Air Traffic Controllers perform duties equivalent to their civilian counterparts and play a key role in the effective use of Naval airpower throughout the world in operational and training environments. Navy ACs are responsible for safely and effectively conducting operations to and from airfields in normal and expeditionary environments, aircraft carriers, and amphibious ships by issuing flight instructions to pilots by radio. Standards in the AC rating are high as the career is demanding but highly rewarding. This is a five-year enlistment program.

What They Do:

Organize and expedite the flow of air traffic at airfields and on aircraft carriers and amphibious ships using radio, radar, and other signaling devices; provide pilots with critical information on other air traffic, navigation systems, and airfield conditions essential to safe operations; operate and adjust computer-based ground/shipboard-controlled navigation and radar approach systems; interpret data shown on radar screens and plot aircraft positions; maintain aeronautical charts and publications.

Working Environment:

ACs usually work in a control tower at an airfield or a radar room located onboard ships and at Naval Air Stations, but may also be afforded the opportunity to work in an expeditionary field environment. They also work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends and some public holidays.

We are looking for an experienced, Part-time, Air Traffic Control Instructor to join the SAIC Controller Training Solutions (CTS) team at the Oakland ARTCC (ZOA), located in Fremont, CA, supporting air traffic controller training services for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).


The CTS Instructor is a hands-on position that requires the candidate to effectively and consistently deliver the highest quality classroom and/or simulation laboratory training to a wide variety of students including developmental air traffic controllers and Certified Professional Controllers (CPC).

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is responsible for ensuring that air traffic control specialists provide the flying public with a high level of safety and professionalism. A well-trained Air Traffic Control (ATC) workforce plays an essential role in fulfilling this responsibility. The FAA employs more than 14,000 air traffic controllers. They work in air traffic facilities of varying sizes, safely separating more than 50,000 aircraft in the National Airspace System (NAS) each day.

To provide such air traffic services, the FAA trains new air traffic control specialists and provides recurrent training to current air traffic control specialists. The FAA utilizes Contractor-provided instructional services at FAA ATC facilities throughout the U.S. and its Territories to ensure these training needs are met. The scope of the contractor-provided services includes all training and training program support to successfully train and prepare students to become fully certified air traffic controllers. SAIC must provide training and training related support services as required for all types and levels of ATC facilities.


Qualifications
Required Qualifications:

The successful candidate for this position must demonstrate strong technical skills with current ATC automation, simulation systems and procedures. This position will provide mentoring for students and Remote Pilot Operators (RPO) as well as participate in curriculum design and development. The selected candidate must demonstrate the knowledge and skills applicable for obtaining radar and/or non-radar simulation laboratory certifications at FAA air traffic control facilities within the U.S. National Airspace System.
